Nursing Faculty Attend State Conference

ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³»­ nursing faculty attended the recent NC Associate Degree Nursing Council conference. ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³»­ participants were (l-r) Ami Denton, director of nursing programs, and nursing faculty Lisa Jenkins, Walena Crawley, Earlie Barnes, Melissa Dunn, Loretta Langley, and Victoria Congdon.

The ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³»­ nursing faculty attended the annual North Carolina Associate Degree Nursing Council (NCADN Council) conference held April 10-12 at Wrightsville Beach.

The conference theme was β€œChanging the Tide of Nursing Education.” The keynote speaker was Keith Rischer, a prominent nurse educator who spoke on innovative ways to increase students’ clinical judgement. Faculty were able to take away numerous ideas and activities to implement in their classrooms to engage students and strengthen their ability to utilize clinical judgment.

The NCADN Council is the advocate for associate degree nursing education and practice and promotes collaboration in charting the future of health education and delivery.
