Food Drive a Success
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina gave away 500 boxes of food to area residents on September 4. The free food distribution event took place simultaneously on Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» campuses in Rocky Mount and Tarboro. LaShawnda Washington, director of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»’s Division of and coordinator of the event, noted, “It was very rewarding to see the gratitude displayed among the families receiving the food boxes. We are so pleased that we could help our community. Our hearts are full.”
