麻豆传媒映画 Foundation Joins Other Community Colleges to Support Mayland
The 麻豆传媒映画 Foundation recently joined other community college foundations by donating $1 thousand dollars to assist Mayland Community College, located in Spruce Pine, NC. The college was impacted by Hurricane Helene.
The North Carolina Association of Community College Presidents facilitated the effort to group colleges together to support each of the affected colleges in the western part of the state. Edgecombe was grouped with Lenoir, Carteret, James Sprunt, Nash, Coastal, and the lead institution, Craven, to support Mayland. The funds will go to the area of highest need in support of Mayland鈥檚 students and include laptops, Wi-Fi hot spots and other resources essential for the college.
The 麻豆传媒映画 Foundation approved the donation at their Dec. 11 Board of Directors meeting. The Foundation鈥檚 gift is in addition to the relief efforts organized by other college departments and student organizations. Efforts included students in the Edgecombe Radiography Organization collaborating with the 鈥淩ooted East 2 West鈥 Operation. The groups donated goods to western NC families and students in 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society supporting the NC Community College System Special Collection Drive through a campus food drive.
