ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» Signing Day at North East Carolina Preparatory School
More than 100 Edgecombe County high school seniors recently declared their intention to attend ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» in the fall.
The college honored the students at ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» Signing Day held at high schools in May. Signing Day is a national initiative to celebrate students for making a commitment to higher education.
ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» Signing Day at North Edgecombe High School
Students, ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» leaders, and high school officials attended Signing Day events at North Edgecombe, SouthWest Edgecombe, and Tarboro high schools, and North East Carolina Preparatory School.
A total of 115 seniors, or nearly 28 percent of the high school seniors in Edgecombe County, declared their intent to join the student body of ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³». Edgecombe County Public Schools seniors numbered 416.

βThank you for choosing ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³»,β ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» President Dr. Greg McLeod told the students. βWhether you plan to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year school, we believe that ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» is the best place to start and prepare for a bright future. We put students first, and we will do all that we can to help you succeed.β
Among the 115 seniors were 25 EDGE Scholarship recipients. Through the EDGE Scholarship, students who qualify receive full funding to attend ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³», including tuition, fees, and books.
ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» Signing Day at Tarboro High School
Other scholarship programs make attending ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½Σ³» the most cost-effective choice for students and their families. Through the Edgecombe Pledge, the college is covering in-state tuition and fees for all qualifying students this fall.
