麻豆传媒映画 and North Carolina Wesleyan College recently renewed an agreement that enables 麻豆传媒映画 graduates to transfer to Wesleyan. 麻豆传媒映画 and North Carolina Wesleyan College recently reauthorized an agreement that will help qualified 麻豆传媒映画 graduates transfer to Wesleyan.
The goal is to enable a seamless transfer for students who enroll at Wesleyan following completion of their two-year degree at 麻豆传媒映画.
Leaders from both colleges attended the May 2 signing ceremony held at 麻豆传媒映画. The reauthorized agreement greatly expands the number of specific Associate in Applied Science degrees from 麻豆传媒映画 that will transfer to Wesleyan. 麻豆传媒映画 degrees that are newly accepted by Wesleyan are:
The previous transfer agreement targeted students who completed the following Associate in Applied Science degrees at 麻豆传媒映画: , , , , , , , , , , and . No changes were made to the transfer agreement regarding these degrees.
Through the Independent with the North Carolina Community College System, 麻豆传媒映画 graduates who have completed an degree or an degree also may transfer to Wesleyan. for students who complete these degree programs have been in place for years between Wesleyan and the community college.
鈥淲e have a long history of successful partnerships with Wesleyan,鈥 said Dr. Greg McLeod, president of 麻豆传媒映画. 鈥淥ur transfer agreements are especially beneficial to local students who prefer to stay in the area to pursue higher education.鈥
degrees typically are not college transfer programs. 鈥淎ny steps we can take to strengthen training in the applied sciences will benefit students and local employers,鈥 Dr. McLeod added.
Dr. Dewey Clark, president of Wesleyan, emphasized the significance of the college鈥檚 new degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. 鈥淟ogistics for this area is going to be what technology was for the Research Triangle. It鈥檚 a game changer,鈥 he said. This new major at Wesleyan aligns with 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 program.
CSX broke ground recently at the site of its proposed intermodal rail facility across from Wesleyan. A new Triangle Tire plant and a new Corning distribution center in Edgecombe County also will increase the need for logistics professionals.
鈥淓verything that we consume daily comes in on a truck, and that will not change. We need smart, creative minds to figure out how to get goods from one place to another,鈥 Dr. Clark added.
