Belk Center Profiles 麻豆传媒映画 President
The Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research has profiled 麻豆传媒映画 President Dr. Greg McLeod as part of its Trailblazer Profiles project.
Dr. Greg McLeod, president of 麻豆传媒映画, is the subject of a new Trailblazer Profile, an initiative of the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research at North Carolina State University.
The Trailblazer Profiles are part of the Belk Center鈥檚 North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) History Project and highlight and celebrate the work of Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous leaders in the NCCCS, focusing on current and former community college presidents and system leaders.
鈥淲e hope that through this project, we can re-center the conversations around who we recognize as important in the history of community college leadership in North Carolina and inspire support for diversifying the presidential leadership pipeline,鈥 says Dr. Audrey Jaeger, executive director of the Belk Center.
Dr. McLeod took office as president of 麻豆传媒映画 in August 2018. He is the college鈥檚 first African American leader.
鈥淚 was called to be an educator, but being a Black male, that calling means even more鈥t means being a role model,鈥 Dr. McLeod says in his Trailblazer Profile. 鈥淢y role is helping to open eyes and open doors and help inspire people to think beyond what they know. If I can be inspirational to others, I think that鈥檚 part of what I鈥檓 here to do.鈥
