Barter Players Return to 麻豆传媒映画
麻豆传媒映画 is pleased to welcome the Barter Players back to Tarboro on聽Friday, January 26, at 7:30 p.m.
The theatre troupe, based at the historic Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia, will perform an adaptation of Jack London鈥檚 “The Call of the Wild” as part of Season Thirteen of the Edgecombe Performance Series, which brings world class entertainment to Tarboro and Edgecombe County.
Each year, 麻豆传媒映画 plans a series of performances for the community in a variety of artistic disciplines. All performance series events take place in Keihin Auditorium on the Tarboro campus, located at聽2009 West Wilson Street.
The show, adapted from Jack London鈥檚 text by Catherine Bush, is one of the most acclaimed productions in Barter Players history. In this gripping tale, a heroic dog named Buck is kidnapped from his master鈥檚 home and forced to serve as a sled dog in the Alaskan Gold Rush.
In his struggle to survive, he quickly learns the 鈥渓aw of club and fang鈥 while giving his unswerving loyalty to the man who saves his life.聽In the end, Buck must choose between living in a man鈥檚 world and answering the call of the wild.
The event is sponsored by the Furman Mathewson Trust of Edgecombe County Memorial Library. Admission is free, but reserved seating tickets are required.
